Health First Medical Group is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care for all of our patients.

As we are a private clinic, payment on the day is required. We can submit your account online to Medicare for claiming and refund.

If you have not registered your bank account details with Medicare, to register your details via the Medicare Website on www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/online

We only Bulk bill Children under 16 years old, over 65 year old pension card holders and Veteran’s affair card holders.

Fees are as followed: (Fees vary according to the complexity of service)

Standard Consultation: (less than 20minutes)

Fee: $77.00

Medicare Rebate: $37.60

Long Consultation: (at least 20-40 minutes)

Fee: $111.00

Medicare Rebate: $72.80

Extended Consultation: (Greater than 40minutes)

Fee: $145.50

Medicare Rebate: $107.15

For cancellations we require adequate notice if you are unable to make your appointment. A cancellation fee of $30.00 may apply for non-attendances payable prior to your next consultation.

Health First is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to our patients. As such, we have 10 and 15 minute standard appointments. If you would like more time with any of our GP’s, or need to discuss several issues, including WorkCover and TAC, please let our reception staff know, and we can book a longer appointment for you.

To make an appointment please phone our reception staff on 03 5331 4341, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8.30 – 5.30pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 – 7pm and Saturday 9-12pm. Online booking via the link is also available.

For after hours care please phone the After Hours GP Hotline on 1800 022 222. If you have a life threatening emergency, please ring 000 for an ambulance.

All patient information is stored securely according to the Privacy Act. Patient information will only be released with your expressed written consent. A copy of the Privacy Policy is available at reception or you can read it online here

From time to time this practice participates in non-identifying research projects, if you do not wish that the practice uses any of your information, please discuss this with your Doctor.

Patients taking regular prescriptions, and require repeat prescriptions will need to contact our administration staff for further information. It is recommended that an appointment is booked with your GP, as it is important that prescriptions are reviewed on a regular basis.

A $10 private fee applies for prescription pickups.

All test results are reviewed by your GP. You will be notified by our administration staff if a follow up appointment is required, and all results can be discussed further at your next appointment. Test results are not given over the phone.

All procedures will need to be discussed with your GP, and may require a longer appointment. If a procedure is required, please let our administration staff know when calling.

Theatre procedures are done in our minor procedure room using local anesthetic. Most procedures are sent to Pathology for analysis. All Theatre procedures incur a fee for the use of theatre/sterilisation of $70.00 or $50.00 for Mirena Insertion fees.

All medical certificates must be obtained during your appointment. Medical certificates cannot be completed without seeing your Doctor.

Dorevitch Pathology have an onsite collection centre on Monday to Friday from 8:30 – 12:30pm.
